The opening act: too weird for me. And too screechy-loud.
The main act: there wasn't one. After an hour of waiting post opening act, finally the tour manager came out to say that Peter Murphy was sick, we'd get refunds, yadda yadda. The crowd took it surprisingly well. I was annoyed - by that point it was at least 10:30, and I was already up way past my bedtime.
The people watching: amazing. Seriously amazing. Most goths haven't aged well. The punk types REALLY haven't aged well. The vampire wanna be chicks have put on lots and lots of weight, but still squeezed into vampire wanna be outfits. And all the Betty Page haircuts, everywhere we looked. Matthew wanted to know what we would call the young people in attendance. Were they goths? I think there has to be some age cut-off, I said. If they're younger than I am, maybe they're just emos.
At least the people watching was good! I'm sorry I missed out on that. The new generation? It frightens me when I realize I'm old enough to be their mother.

Bummer....
I just had to miss a Cure concert myself a few weeks ago and wasn't very happy about it.
